Multivan

This optional table not only provides a round surface, but also several drawers for small and large utensils. When not in use, the table top can be turned by 90°, folded together and lowered into the base. The multifunction table can then slide along the two extra centre rails between the single seats.

The durable and washable “Halifax Maple” wood look floor is available upon request and creates a homely ambience in the passenger compartment.

The leather-covered multifunction steering wheel gives you a good grip and is extremely user-friendly. In combination with the optional voice control, your driving experience will be enhanced to a great extend.

Multifunction steering wheel.
The leather-covered multifunction steering wheel gives you a good grip and is extremely user-friendly. The radio or navigation system, a mobile phone or the cruise control can be controlled using the buttons. Servotronic speed-dependent power-assisted steering can be ordered as an option. It enhances handling when manoeuvring and parking. With the aid of the electronics the power assistance is decreased to an ever greater degree at higher speeds. This allows the driver to control the vehicle in a more precise and targeted manner than with normal power steering.

Voice control.
With the optional voice control you are free to operate the telephone, navigation, and audio functions without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Furthermore, you can call up virtually all menus and notifications on the radio or navigation system displays using voice control.

Electric tailgate and rear wing doors for comfortable opening and closing
Make loading and unloading easier. Optionally, the Multivan can be equipped with an electrical tailgate or rear wing doors.

Electric tailgate.
The optionally available electric tailgate features a variety of control options for comfortable handling: the remote control key for the central locking (opening), the button on the driver’s door cladding (opening), the tailgate handle (opening), the pull loop on the tailgate (closing) and the button on the tailgate cladding (closing and stopping). The parking assistant’s sensors check whether there is enough space to open the tailgate.

Electric sliding doors (not illustrated).
Equipped with a number of electronic trapping protectors, the sliding doors are easy to operate using either the remote control or a button in driver’s cab. Only one electric sliding door is available for the Multivan Trendline. 

Rear wing doors (not illustrated).
Simplify access to the luggage compartment when there is little space available at the rear of the vehicle. The loading sill cover on the Multivan Highline has the same design as the Multivan Comfortline and the coat hook in the rear area is omitted.

Electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors are fitted as standard. Optionally, the mirrors also come with an electrically folding function. Depending on the model, the mirror housings are painted or unpainted.

Energy-saving LED headlights and a headlight cleaning system ensure that you can see well. A dimming interior mirror provides additional protection against uncomfortable dazzling from traffic to the rear.

LED lights.
The energy-saving LEDs generate both low and high-beam illumination. The high reliability and life span of the LEDs improves safety by reducing the likelihood of failure. LED headlights are unique because of their large light volumes, durability, light spectrum similar to daylight, and low energy consumption. Only available in conjunction with LED tail lights.

LED number plate lighting (not illustrated) comes as standard in all models.

Headlight cleaning system.
When the low- or high-beam headlights are turned on, the headlight housing glass is washed once for every five windscreen washes.

Light and Sight package.
Designed to improve visibility, this package consists of an automatically dimming rear view mirror, which protects against dazzling from traffic to the rear, and a rain sensor, which activates the windscreen wipers. The driving light assistant with “coming home/leaving home” function illuminates the area around the vehicle for improved safety and convenience.

The Multivan's infotainment systems assist you better and inspire with their intuitive operation, best connectivity and good sound. Even wireless internet access and Media Control via smartphone are available.

“Composition Media” radio system.
The optional system consists of a 16.5 cm (6.33 inch) TFT colour display, a touch screen with proximity sensor, an MP3- and WMA-compatible CD drive, a 4 x 20 watt output with six loudspeakers, an SD-card slot, an AUX-IN interface and a USB port compatible with devices including iPhones in the glove compartment, a Bluetooth connection for mobile telephones, and a dual tuner with PhaseDiversity.

“Composition Colour” radio system.
The system consists of a 12.7 cm (5 inch) TFT colour display with touchscreen function, an MP3- and WMA-compatible CD drive, a 4 x 20 watt output with six loudspeakers, an SD-card slot, an AUX-IN interface, a USB port compatible with devices including iPhones, a Bluetooth connection for mobile telephones and a dual tuner with PhaseDiversity for optimal radio reception.

“Composition Audio” radio system.
The system consists of a TFT monochrome display, a 4 x 20 watt output with four loudspeakers, an SD-card slot, an AUX-IN interface, a USB port and a Bluetooth connection for mobile telephones.

“Discover Media” navigation system.
In addition to the functions of “Composition Media”, the "Discover Media" navigation system has a second integrated SD-card slot which is compatible with the SD-card with the map data. Free updates for the installed maps for Europe are available from Volkswagen MapCare on the Volkswagen homepage. In addition, the navigation system also offers the Car-Net Guide & Inform mobile online services, providing highly current, online-based information in the vehicle.

“Discover Media Plus” navigation system.
In addition to the functions of the “Discover Media” navigation system with six loudspeakers, the optional "Discover Media Plus" navigation system also includes: DAB+ digital radio, voice control, Car-Net App-Connect, Volkswagen Media Control, electronic voice amplification and the “Comfort” mobile phone interface with MEDIA-IN interface.

“Comfort” mobile phone interface.
The optional “Comfort” mobile phone interface features special compartment for your mobile phone has a wireless external aerial connection to optimise your mobile phone reception. Charging the phone is straightforward, too: The telephone only has to be connected to the USB port, which is located in the storage compartment.

Wireless Internet access and Volkswagen Media Control.

With the optional system you can turn your smartphone or tablet into a remote control for the navigation system, and control the audio system using a wireless connection from the comfort of the passenger compartment. Or mirror a navigation route from your tablet onto the colour touchscreen display.

Wireless internet access (not illustrated).
This enables you to have convenient access to e-mail and the Internet while on the road.

The horizontal lines of the exterior design are mirrored inside by the dash panel. The harmonious interplay of the decorative inserts, decorative trim and interior colour creates a cosy atmosphere. Numerous practical storage and stowage options round off the benefits offered. The de luxe dash panel is not available for the Multivan Trendline.

Ventilation outlets in the headlining supply fresh air to the passenger compartment, and reduce misting over the side windows. The integrated swivelling reading lights can be adjusted individually.

Intelligent driver assistance systems make travelling in the Transporter Delivery Van even more comfortable because they warn you when the vehicle is in danger of unintentionally changing lanes or if you become tired.

Adaptive Cruise Control ACC and “Front Assist”.

Adaptive Cruise Control ACC.
The optional Adaptive Cruise Control ACC automatically adapts the vehicle’s speed to that of the vehicle driving in front and maintains the distance set by the driver.  At the same time, it remains within the set speed. Already includes the “Front Assist” ambient traffic monitoring system.

“Front Assist” ambient traffic monitoring system with City Emergency Braking System.
The optional “Front Assist” ambient traffic monitoring system uses a radar system to detect situations where the distance to the vehicle in front is critical, and reduces the vehicle’s stopping distance.  In dangerous situations, the system alerts the driver by means of visual and acoustic signals, and with a warning jolt of the brakes.

Lane change assist “Side Assist”.
The optional lane change assist “Side Assist” displays a warning signal in the door mirror if one of the system’s sensors registers a vehicle in the blind spot when changing lanes.

Driver Alert System.
The optional driver alert system uses visual and acoustic warning signals to recommend that the driver takes a break as soon as it registers driving behaviour that indicates tiredness.

Brake assist system.
Registers the speed at which the brake pedal is pressed. During a reflexive or emergency braking action, it ensures that full brake pressure is built up more quickly.

Hill Start Assist.
The standard Hill Start Assist prevents the vehicle from rolling back on inclines and makes handling easier when starting up on uphill slopes.

Tyre monitoring display.
The optional tyre monitoring display warns when there is a deviation in tyre pressure and indicates to the driver to check tyre pressure as soon as possible.

Parking made easy: Whether ParkPilot or reversing camera – the clever parking assitance in the Transporter Delivery Van provides you with acoustic or visual warnings of obstacles.

ParkPilot.
The optional ParkPilot emits audible warnings when obstacles are detected in front of or behind the vehicle when parking, and also provides a visual display of the vehicle’s distance from the obstacles.

“Rear View” reversing camera.
The optional “Rear View” reversing camera simplifies parking by showing a limited view of the area behind the vehicle on the display of the radio or navigation system. Additional static guidelines facilitate the parking process.

Automatically dimming high beam lights along with extra lights which show you the way when cornering, even in poor weather – all this is available to you.

High-beam assistant “Light Assist”.
The optional high-beam assistant “Light Assist” automatically dips the headlights for oncoming vehicles or vehicles travelling ahead before they are dazzled. Above 60 km/h and in complete darkness, the system automatically switches on the high-beam headlights.

Fog lights with integrated static cornering light.
The optional fog lights with integrated static cornering light ensure optimal visibility in poor weather conditions. The headlight nearest to the corner illuminates the roadside when turning.

The optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive provides good traction, optimum handling and steering, and helps you to master even difficult conditions like driving on wet roads, in the mountains and on snow covered tracks. Upon request, the 4MOTION all-wheel drive is also available with the dual clutch gearbox DSG – a unique drive concept in its vehicle class.

The optionally available 4MOTION all-wheel drive is now fitted with state-of-the-art transmission generation all-wheel traction. Advantages include reduced weight, and further enhancement of vehicle handling and dynamics.

The Transporter is the only vehicle in its class available with the optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and optional 7-speed dual clutch gearbox DSG.

Hill Descent Assist.
The optional system for Euro 6 engines allows you to drive down slopes in a safe, controlled way, thanks to the engine management’s ability to govern the engine speed, and apply the brakes if necessary.

Mechanical differential lock.
The mechanical differential lock is available for the rear axle together with the optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive. This makes starting up in adverse, off-road conditions much easier.

Engine underride guard.
An optional, robust aluminium structure reliably protects the engine and gearbox on uneven roads and terrain.

The optional 7-speed dual clutch gearbox DSG permits fully automatic, almost imperceptible gear changing with no interruption in power flow, which results in significantly increased driving comfort and efficiency. You can choose between normal and sport mode.
